I’m Pankaj Makkar, the proud owner of Vizhen Books Inc.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

After spending twenty years in the corporate world and doing senior-level finance roles as a Controller/CFO, I was at a cross-road. I had to choose whether to relocate to a new place to take my next position or do something of my own.

As I came from a business family and always wanted to run a company, I felt this was an excellent opportunity to follow my dream after twenty years in the industry.

So, I decided to use the expertise acquired over the past two decades to help small businesses automate their accounting processes and scale faster.

Since starting my accounting and bookkeeping enterprise three years ago, it has grown exponentially. I’ve gone from having one part-time staff member and a single client to leading a team of twelve and servicing over fifty clients.

I care for my clients and staff and treat them like an extended family as I feel businesses are built by people for people. The human element is most important in this equation, so I’m always looking for opportunities to improve and adapt to this changing world.

Therefore, I’m curious to learn, and as an individual, I believe what sets me apart from others is my problem-solving skills. I also attribute my success to putting customer service as my highest priority and taking accountability for my actions.

As a result, when a client refers my firm to someone else, it fills me with immense satisfaction. It’s also rewarding to choose clients who are the perfect fit for me.

When I’m not analyzing financial statements, I’m a triathlete and train for Ironman races, marathons, and ultra-marathons. I also play the guitar and piano.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
